A View of the James River Richmond Virginia

This picture was begun on a late afternoon on a chilly fall day. Gorgeous! The air was cool and rich.The fading light orange and soft. What a sunset. I have painted other pictures in Maymont Park as I painted there almost exclusively for about two years. Quite a number of these pictures were done late in the day as I like the longer shadows, the diffused light and so forth. I love the people you meet from all over the world and the interaction.
