On Wilson Lake

The road on the right is the road across the top of  the dam at Wilson Lake in Wilson Kansas. Always a favorite area of mine growing up. Beautiful sunny day, later in the afternoon with the sun striking the landscape I photographed this scene, studied the area for several hours and recreated it in my studio. Another picture that seemed finished several times, it was turned against my studio wall more than a few times but perseverance and about three years  of patience won out.
